This book let's you know how to do all things you've always wondered how to do-but never had the balls to try yourself. I think the other reviewers took the subject matter too seriously. (omg it's illegal!) It's called "Forbidden Knowledge".... meaning this isn't information the media just likes to hand out to everybody! Some of the over the top stuff i think is just their to be humorous, and make the reader wonder, "wait you can do that?!!", all hypothetically of course. This book is for those whose curiosity spans past the norm of social conventions, not tightwads who want to censor books.

Found in your HUMOR section of the bookstore, this book belongs to the Forbidden Knowledge series of books. While many of the entries here are fairly illegal if not immoral, there's a pretty good chance that the same events are based on people actually having done these things. Again the introduction reminds you not to try any of these as you could end up in serious trouble. Common sense will tell you the same thing, 90% of the items here are things the average traveller would not even think of and if they did, they probably wouldn't try them. None-the-less, as far as the series goes, this one was lacking in that it does seemingly focus on more immoral activities rather than going to places you probably shouldn't be going such as sneaking into Mecca. While sophomorically entertaining, it doesn't hold up to the other books in the series.

This sequel to Michael Powell's Forbidden Knowledge: 101 Things NOT Everyone Should Know How to Do holds its own with another 101 items not everyone should know. Some items in the book are just ridiculous like how to kill a vampire, remove a jinx, and write an erotic novel. Some lack the real information like how to pass a drug test, get hit by a car and survive, or pass a breathalyzer. But mostly, there are more than enough tongue in cheek entries to validate the book. You'll NOT learn things like how to do a keg stand, navigate a minefield, steal PIN numbers, run a scam, make a shiv, and amputate a limb. Entry information is minimal due to obvious legal reasons and you're warned that nothing in the book should actually be tried and the author and publishers cannot be held responsible should you try them. It's light reading, it takes a day to read, and knowledge tidbit #102 seems to be how to publish a book without using an editor. There are lots of insignificant editting errors but you'll be able to ignore them. If you read the first one, then enjoy this sequel.

I bought this for my hubby who just got back from Iraq, and he loves it. It has interesting things in it that even though should be done, but interesting to learn about. Great for Birthdays and Christmas.

The book itself is funny, odd, and all around a delight. All sections are just a few pages long at most, so it is an easy reference for all high school pranks and beyond.
